Caitlin Got Earrings!

Caitlin got new earrings. She was going to get her birthstone, which is pink tourmaline, but decided on these beautiful "diamonds" instead! She handled it really well. She sat down on my lap and picked them out, just as excited as ever. As soon as they marked her ears her bravery slipped a notch or two, and then they peirced them...one onethousand, two onethousand and they did it before three! Caught her by suprise. She sat there unaffected for a minute and then screamed I DON'T LIKE IT!!!!!! She cried her eyes out for about 5 minutes and then was fine! She refused to even look at them, or accept a sucker from the girls! But in the end she is very happy about having peirced ears! She looks so beautiful! Oliver just hung out and pooped as much as possible during this event!

Could this be Spring??

Well today was a glorious spring day. We went to the park and had the most fun. Caitlin played with Sam and Ava for a while. Then played with our neighbors Cayden and Abby for a while too. She had the most fun. Oliver slept through it all!

Caitlin and Sam liked to spin Avelynn on the "miracleround" as Caitlin calls it. Ava liked to ride!

Caitlin, Cayden and Abby racing down the slides. They had big fun. It's fun to have neighbors that are friends too! They've lived next to each other for a year, but today was the first time they played together. Hopefully they will have many more adventures this year.

We had a little photo shoot today and Caitlin is sure to be the next top model if she has anything to say about it. She loves to pose for pictures. She's so beautiful!

Sick Babies

Caitlin and Oliver have been sick. Caitlin has had a snotty nose for 'round about 5 months. I swear it never goes away, it's like the never ending snot bug. YUCK. She is on her 3rd ear infection of the year. She's taking amoxicillin and hating every second of it. I forgot to have it flavored for her and yeah...that's a blast. However, Daddy is a champion negotiator and gets it down her every morning and night. As you can see she was exhausted after spending the night at Nana's while Oliver spent the night in the hospital for RSV. The poor little fella is handling things like a champ. I am sore just watching him cough. It shakes his whole body. He is almost over the hump. He is doing a good job handling the breathing treatments. He just sits there patiently. He is a little snot monster too, I have to suction his nose constantly...he hates that.

I think we are finally on the road to well babies. They are both doing better every day. Caitlin really seems fine today. Still a little cranky, but how could you not be after being so sick? Oliver is sleeping a little better and coughing less.
